Pricing
A shiatsu treatment is usually one hour and costs 77,50 euro, incl. VAT. A serie of 10 treatments is 700 euros. The first treatment usually takes somewhat longer than an hour because we will first talk about your reasons for seeking a shiatsu treatment, your health and your complaints.
Treatment of babies and children up to the age of 14 is 32,50 euro, incl. VAT.
Reimbursement
Most Dutch insurance companies partially reimburse shiatsu treatments, if you are additionally insured (in Dutch: aanvullende verzekering). Please check with your insurance company for details. The Dutch Shiatsu Association has a list of insurers who (partially) reimburse the shiatsu treatments.
Cancellation policy
Should the date and time of the appointment not work for you – please contact me as soon as possible to avoid any cost. Treatments that are not cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged.
What to expect in a session
- On your first visit you will be asked a few questions to help get an indication of your health, life-style, state of mind and overall wellbeing. Please allow an extra 10 to 15 minutes for this. Further sessions are approximately one hour .
- The client stays fully clothed through-out the shiatsu. At the end of a treatment, you can experience a feeling of increased vitality and you may feel invigorated yet relaxed.
- It is best not to eat a big meal before a Shiatsu treatment.
- Wear loose clothing – leggings/jogging bottoms and a loose top – so you can get the full benefit of stretches and rotations used in the treatment. You can bring a change of clothing with you and change in the treatment room.
- After the treatment try not to engage in any stressful event or vigorous exercise in order to get the full benefits of your shiatsu treatment.
- Sometimes life-style, stretches or dietary advice is given.
